I’ll be honest, even while writing the title for this post “30 Day Social Media Detox Challenge to Help You Live in The Moment” I was skeptical as to who would actually do this challenge.

It’s like most other challenges – Hard. It really does challenge you to not look at your phone for hours on end as you drag your finger across while scrolling, liking, commenting on all or any types of social media (SM).

This challenge should motivate you to do something else!

Something else instead of having to look to your phone for guidance, inspiration, knowledge, appreciation and/or approval. You can find other, much more stable and correct ways of attaining all those qualities and/or feelings outside of the social media realm.

We just have to be strong enough to resist the urge!

How do we resist the urge? By knowing and then by doing better.

Did you know that 2 NEW studies show the direct causal effect that social media has on our health? Specifically our mental health?

The results indicate that the more time you spend on social media, the more likely you are to be depressed, anxious, lonely, suffer from low self esteem and worse begin experiencing thoughts of committing suicide.

Those results are scary.

Group of people on their phones, not doing a social media detox

And they should want you to decrease your time spent on social media because the results also indicate that the less amount of time you spend scrolling and liking, the better your mental health is and the happier you will be too!

So now that you know better, start to do better too. Begin your challenge now!
